Introduction

Thread Starter

Bearcarver mentioned that I should post here and introduce myself.  I am probably not in the right place but here goes.

I am a geologist, father of six girls, married 27 years to a wonderful Wisconson dairy girl, live in Utah, enjoy the outdoors, and cook meat.  I duch oven, grill, and now smoke meat.  I have been smoking for 1 1/2 years and am getting quite confident.  I received my retro fit for my 30" and I plan to upgrade to the 40" stainless or a Cabelas pro model someday: maybe in 5 years or so.  I just smoked a turkey Tuesday night (just great).  I am smoking salmon tomorrow at the wishes of my family.  pot.gif

First off welcome to SMF. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
