I have a friend that is going to 'revamp' an older style, cast iron hand crank grinder with a 3/4 HP motor.
Now the motor turns at about 3400 rpms and he has on order a pulley that will fit the grinder shaft. The problem that I see is that the grinder will be turning at about 850 rpms.
To me that seem a bit too fast, I'm thinking about 300 to 350 any thoughts??
TIA Larry
