I'm actually considering subbing this for either the ham or turkey for Christmas myself. Maybe even for New Years as well since it's cheaper than any prime rib around here. Make sure you take pics.
 
What is the rule of thumb for length of time to smoke a beef tenderloin ? How long did it take for this one to reach 137 ?

Hey Lee I think it was in the 1-1 1/2 hour range. It didn't take long compared to most smokes.


Looks great.  I love smoking these things but haven't done one in a while. I may have to do one up as they are on sale in this area.
It would make an excellent Christmas/New Years meal.
