Here comes another rookie

Got my christmas present early(MES30) and starting to practice for Christmas dinner. Turkey breasts are the main course. Love what I've seen so far on the forum. Born in Tulsa schooled in Pawhuska and living in Tn. Thanks in advance for all the great info.

this is a great place to get all the info on smoking good foods 

you will ever need. Also as an MES 40 owner myself, I am sure

you should find that there is no problem cooking with the MES 30.

First off welcome to SMF there John. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.

Welcome JKC! MES owners are popping up here on a regular basis...good stuff. Turkey on the menu for Christmas...check out Jeff's recipe for Buttermilk Brined Smoked Turkey.
