I've been following along and learning for quite some time and finally joined in. Already signed up for the newsletter and got the e-course. I started smoking a little over 20 years ago with a cheap charcoal unit and have had a MES 30 for two years now. It's is great to have so much knowledge here and everyone ready to help. Thanks to everyone on this site.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. All that experience was mainly hard knocks until I bought the MES and temp probes. I thought I had some good smoked food before but after learning about proper IT (and not just guessing) we found out what good juicy meat is really all about. Although we love Jeff's sauce it is rarely used because the meat is great without it. I've been following along and taking food pictures long enough my wife doesn't give me a hard time about it anymore, now I just have to figure out how to post them.
