Hi

New to the forum, I have been looking for a ham like flavor brine for turkey or chicken for over 2 years now, I was at a party that had a turkey that tasted like this it was awesome, the breast meat looked light pink and fell off the bone, if anyone could give me a recipe or advice it would be great, I have a MES 30 in smoker, oh and by the way why is there no smoke rings on an elec smoker, thanks for any input, Jim

Welcome to SMF jimbo -- it's a great place.

JJ and Al are right -- Pops brine is the way to go.  I use it all the time.  Friends and family are amazed at my "hammy chicken".  I tell them it's easy as can be.  They don't believe me, which is fine....there should be a bit of mystery behind how you can take palin old chicken and make it taste like ham.

Good luck!
