Paoli, Ok
This is a mop my aunt and I used on out turkey this year (qview coming soon) and I just wanted to share it with everyone. helps the skin get a little crisper and adds a beautiful coloring to the end product.

11 tbsp butter

1 cup chicken broth

2 tbsp Louisiana hot sauce

2 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

I recommend using every 30 min/ 1 hour depending on the birds size and personal preference. also somethign to try is while we let the bird rest we let it set in the remainder of the mop and drained when rest was complete. (batch was for an 11 pound bird)

Thanks for the Mop recipe

It prolly works well on chicken too huh?

Def my friend especially with a good spicy rub and marinade. ive found that the smoke really like that mop for some reason (maybe the butter idk) and it imbues with the flavors for a good taste

Sounds good...I was wondering why such an Odd amount of Butter...Then DUH!...1 Tbs per Pound of Turkey!...Cool...JJ
