Ok this was a total suprise I went home for Thanksgiving and my dad built this rig for my brother and I to compete with.  This was built from scratch the only thing purchased was the trailer.  All the other parts he rummaged from around the ranch and around our small home town.  Working for an oil field company he gto the pipe for free and it was virgin pipe never been used.  Still needs a difuser between the firebox and the main chamber and to eal the doors properly add a few themometers and we will be in buisness.

Wow!  Congratulations, what an awesome rig, musta been quite a surprise for you and your brother.  Can't wait to see pics of that sucker full of meat.

That's great Ecto, am courious if it will convect the heat to the Verticle , did you plate and tune it?
heat will go into the verticle from the main chamber gonna try just using a diffuser at first and see what kinda temp varience I get.  I will probably eventually put tuning plates I think it may be good to have possibly three smoking temps at one time what i am worried about first is seeing how much smoke the door is gonna leak and getting that fixed.  I am still in awe on my father not bad for a first ever pit on his side.  Also gonna add wood storage and a place to haul a couple of UDS smokers as well.

I can't take it home for a few weeks.  My HOA would not like it if I just pulled up with it.  I need to find a place to store it and then get ready to test it out.

What a great present. Man you are going to be rocking the comps in that baby.

WOW Ecto, what a great surprise, I'll have to make it my business to get to one of the comps to see it up close and personal!  That is a thing of beauty.  Lots of special Fat Ash BBQ Team memories will be made on that one.
