cool I was thinking a fryer, and a nice big box for some wood with a working table for a lid
would be handy!
Wow what an amazing adventure following your build. Congrats on a great success
Thanks raptor700.Great smoker build DB
The bird looks perfectly done
Looking forward to lots more Qview from that massive smoker
This was a particular that I thought long about. In the long run it probably should be 2 doors to reduce heat loss, but surprisingly it only took a couple of minutes to recover if I did what I needed and closed the door. Can't leave it open too long. And I do like the big door. It's about 80 inches wide. It did cause problems because of the weight, but you can get something in there.Great build. One question I have is why did you go with a single door for the smoke chamber and not a double? It seems a lot of heat would escape when you open it up to mop your vittles or spray them or whatever.
Thanks hdflame. It's still up in the air in what direction I'll go. Don't tell my wife. She wants it done. You know there's always a need for a grill now and then. My problem, I don't care for small. It's looking good!
(In ref. to post #100)
You could always do a smaller grill....and the turkey fryer...with a removable or hinged top that could be a prep table when you need it.

That paint looks great! Adding a third color really sets it off. I had thought about trying something similar with mine and decided against it, but I really like the way yours looks!
Thanks Shooter. We're doing a block party on Super Bowl Sunday. Come on over.Gorgeous, beautiful, amazing, fantastic... um, I like it... And, since you're in Stockton, I will be over within 40 minutes as I am in Antioch, CA and always hungry for smoked meat!!!
Seriously - that is a terrific looking smoker. WELL DONE!!
