Wish me luck...Doing a turkey in the morning.

I've been lucky so far doing turkeys. 4 out of 5 have been awesome. Wife wants me to try something different this time so we're gonna give it a whirl. She has requested I rub with Cajun Shake instead of our homemade rub we usually use. The only thing I'm doing is putting some butter under the skin and rubbing it down,we shall see. I do have a question too,is q-view easy to figure out?

Bro, If you are going the extra effort to rub butter under the skin...Mix The Rub With It...Two birds one stone (pun intended). Out of curiouity...What's in your usual rub?

There are more computer savy that can give specific help with qview but once loaded on the computer you go to a Reply box and hit the Picture of the little House toward the upper right side then follow the prompts...Easy.

Good luck ...JJ

Q view is easy from a computer. I haven't figured out how to do it with my smartphone. I wish I could though. That would make my life easier. Might be a compatibility issue. There is an article on how to take good photos that I recommend. I think it is in the banner on the homepage. Good luck with the turkey and I second what JJ said about mixing butter and rub. will make everything easier and its also good on toast! JK!

Ok, I will put butter and rub under the skin. I never thought of that but makes sense. I guess I should have also mentioned we will be going the low and slow route. I will ask the wife what all was in the rub we used.

Good Luck on your bird. Im going to try my hand with brining my first bird soon thx to AL.

As for Qview I upload the pics from my phone to the pc and then when you hit on the little box with the house in it, use the browse feature to find the pic you want to post click on it and waaa laaa its posted. BearCarver gave me some good advice on it and told me to post the first one, hit enter 4 times, post the following pics useing the same method, 4 enters then go back and enter the text in between the photos. Works very well for me but thats just me.
