so im planning on a smoke in the next few days and am wondering what cuts of beef do you guys think will go best with mashed potatoes n gravy, corn, and hot rolls? i like brisket but am wanting to try something a little different.  i was thinking of maybe a sirloin tip roast, or smoking some ribeye, which thanks to the late and great RonP, are pretty damn delicious.  ideas?

Yep, Rib eye roast. We like them rare.

I vote for the rib eyes too, with lots of blue cheese sauce.

Whoa Al!!!  It's not even 7:00 AM and you have me drooling for some beef!

Don't forget the Q-view Tirrin,

Gene

i think ima either go with ribeyes or a sirloin tip roast..and i will provide the qview :)

i decided on a sirloin tip roast..rubbed it down with some EVOO, seasoned salt, black pepper, paprika, and some rosemary garlic..cooking it to about 150-155ish..whatever a good medium is ..

Looks great, enough for those taters and some for sammies tomorrow, A little garlic dill pickle, some provolone and frenches yellow with about half a pound of that on a crusty roll.

well that sounds amazing to try..however..generally when i smoke something, there are enough people over that it doesnt last the evening

Looks great!!

Nice ring!!

We like em a little less done here...out at 135.

  Have a great day!!
