First Meatloaf

Well, a buddy of mine came up this weekend and brought a Meatloaf Recipe with him. And all the goodies to put in it. Here is the recipe:

img008.jpg

I took some brats that I made and used them instead of the sausage. I mixed everything up and split it in half. They are about 5 lbs each. One I am cooking just like it is on the recipe, except I am smoking it. The other one I added some Diced tomatoes with green chilies. Here is the ingredients and what they looked like before smoking.

The one on the left is the one with the diced tomatoes and green chilies.

I will post the finish product pics once everything is finished. Maybe even get a Bearview before it is all eat.

Thanx for lookin

Mike

This is the one without the diced tomatoes and chilies.

This is the one with. My only regret is that I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes and chilies. I should have added more

bread crumbs or cut it down to 1 can. I will remember that next time.

Also they were both very tasty and juicey. Cooked them at 230* for 41/2 hrs. Will definately do this again.

I need a better camera this one is terrible.

Thanx for lookin'

Mike

Those look great.  After my first smoked meatloaf I knew I would never eat a regular one again.  They are great.
