I am smoking 4 7lbs butts for this Monday.  I need them ready by noon.  Due to a busy Weekend.  I was planning on smoking the butts to 165 degrees on Sunday.  Then as they go to foil letting it rest until Monday morning and putting them in the oven at 6am to bring it up to 205.  Then pull the pork before eating.  Has anyone ever attempted this?  Or know a better way to do this?  I can't start smoking until Sunday afternoon and don't want to be up all night with early morning work.  I have an oven at work to heat the pork up when its in foil and doesn't need the smoke.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Brian

I got no help for you but I'm sure someone must have done something similar to this and will be able to chime in real soon. Sounds like you're on the right track though.

I would cook it all the way and pull it.

Then package to reheat.

I agree with Craig & Brian, cook them all the way. If you foil them at 165 you will have to keep the temp above 140 or under 40, to be safe until you reheat them.
