I'm seeing some great threads that I'd like to add to the Homepage Carousel but can't because the images are to small. There are size requirements for the pictures and seems many people are posting images that are too small to use. If you've posted an outstanding thread with Qview now you may know why it hasn't been featured

From last week it doesn't matter what the size of the original photo it loads Small on the thread .

and i cont load from the web(picasaweb) is my computer or it normal

You mention all this, yet you don't say what the size requirements actually are.

All of a sudden a couple of weeks ago, when you post a photo it is smaller than it always has been.

How do you change the size & what size do you want?

They are getting resized when you post them. I posted 1024 x 768 pics but in the thread they were reduced to 350 x 700. If you look at the source code it shows that they are being changed to a smaller size. I removed the size attribute by clicking the source button.

This pic was 2592 x 1944 when I posted it.

Now without the size attribute.

See the difference in the code. Something in the program is resizing it automatically.

I believe if you zoom in, you can see how big it was when it was posted.

Any smaller than that was done by SMF sizing in the program.

Zoom in on this, and you can see it was bigger when I put it in:

Here is the link, where they are even bigger:

This just started a couple weeks ago, and most of us figured it was changed smaller, because the forum was getting too slow.

This one was 4320 x 3240 before the site re sized it

I'm still trying to get an answer it may take a few days right now what I have is "Images must be at least 300 pixels high and at least 200 pixels wide to be used in the Carousel  ""

If you go to that link in my post #11 (above), those pics on that thread are the size the forum program used to size mine to (until a week or two ago).

Then I moved one from that thread to the post above, and it shrank it again.

If I remember correctly it used to save pics at 640 x 480

Yup---I had forgotten the numbers, but now that you mention it, that rings an old bell.

Those always seemed just right--not too big, but not too little, especially when if you really wanted a closer look, you could zoom in.

Now you have to zoom in on just about anything to get a decent look.

Not complaining---just stating my thoughts on it.

I just went into the Wiki:  Bearcarvers Smoked Bacon Step By Step With Qview    And the pictures are all out of whack???  They are huge now?!?!?

Brian
That's strange, but true. I just checked that out. I have the same thread in my signature "Bacon", and the pics are all still the way they first loaded into the thread.
