Hi all!

The hurricane a couple of weeks ago cancelled my annual birthday cookout. So, we rescheduled for this weekend. MUCH better weather!!

We're doing a beef brisket, Babyback Ribs, Pork Butt, Sausage and some grilled veggies!

Cookin' starts tomorrow, but I thought I'd give you a preview of the meat....rubbed, in the fridge & ready to go!

Wow! The flash really lightened up the pic. Almost looks like tomato soup!

Get hungry----more pics to follow as heat & smoke work magic!

After 3 hours in the smoke.

Butt(s)

Pork was foiled at 165*. Added a mixture of Maker's Mark and home made pepper vinegar to the foil. Ribs are on.  Smoking with a combination of apple and hickory.  I have some fresh pecan wood and apple wood aging. The hurricane has made prime smoking wood plentiful!

Camera battery died. :-(

I got pics of the ribs & butt after it was pulled. no pics of the brisket. There was leftovers, so maybe I'll get a pic or 2 later.  Here's the ribs & butt_
