I live in Snellville, Georgia, just a little northeast of Atlanta with my wife and 3 sons. I try to be a loyal Georgia Bulldogs fan, but as of late they are making it very hard to do!
I have wanted a smoker for years and I finally bought a Masterbuilt smoker at a "Smoking deal" (pardon the pun - couldn't resist) last year at Bass Pro the day after Thanksgiving - and absolutely LOVE IT!!! Actually I sent my wife there to buy it at 4:30 in the morning:-). It has some flaws - like no handles - but overall I have been very impressed with how easy it is to dial it in, with a remote control nonetheless!
I have been using the website ever since then and have pulled pork and ribs mastered - in my opinion. Thanks to everyone on here who has taught me, but didn't know it.
I hunt a lot and smoked some wild hog just the other day. It would up in some Brunswick stew that was incredible - strictly by accident, as it was my first real batch I ever made.
I am currently making my first fattie at the moment for dinner, and will post up a separate post on how that goes. It is going to be an ugly one. Wish I had went and looked at the fattie forum sticky BEFORE I embarked on that journey...but that's all in the past now.
