Thanks for the information Gary. Lets get the Rich stories in here folks.

This thing is killing me. Although I am in Central Cali now, I lived in Santa Ana, and my parent or parents lived there for over 40 years before and after the death of my father.  I finished junior high, high school, and junior college there.  Yet, I never had the chance to meet him that I know of. I will be checking my high school yearbooks.

Please let me know the appropriate forum in which to post a QVIEW in memory of him.

R.I.P. my friend.

It is difficult to describe the warmth and sincerity Rich expressed, in his writing, when welcoming a new member to this site in the phrase, "It is all good my friend".

There is a void......here.....now.....He is missed.......

Condolences to all family and friends.......

David

I don't know if I can explain this to you in a way that best describes a "relationship" that Kathy and I had with Rich and Gloria.

In the years that I had grown know Rich and his generous personality we connected on a couple of levels. I was lucky enough to receive some of Rich's pepper seeds. I chose to save the seeds until I could devote the same attention to them that he had and I still have those seeds ready to plant. We exchanged several PM's and finally engaged in some phone calls. I can only imagine how happy Ron P was to have someone this warm calling him and encouraging him to push on.

Rich and I  had numerous communications via email and on the phone and finally we met in person at the Pala cookoff. We had the great fortune to have them come to the house for dinner. This was a magical evening. I don't know if I can describe to you the feeling of instant friendship. When the evening was over we all hugged with the understanding that we had just created a lifelong friendship.  This was a special bond. Thank you Rich and Gloria for your amazing warmth and love.

I want to thank all of you for taking the time to express your experiences with Rich. These  will be sent to Gloria and she and the family will be able to remember Rich's other family.

Thank you all for your support of this amazing friend

I'm another guy who was touched by Rich's kindness and help while attempting to spark up some smoke. Thank you for your warmth and good advice, Rich. We know the clouds are really TBS!

Godspeed, good man!

It hurts to know such a man has passed from our lives. He sure made an impact. We'll miss him. Rich, thanks for you, from us.

Man how did I miss these posts?? I tried hitting him up via PM cause I live so close to him I practically grew up in Whittier. I was hoping to get in contact with him and learn a few things. Sad times.

I just received the news from a mutual friend. Richoso was a great help to me with good advice, and he was a generous friend to all. I am truly sorry for his passing and would like to offer by sincere condolences to his family and the friends who knew him best.

Ron

I don't have any great stories about Rich, but I never skipped by anything with his name on, and enjoyed all of his comments very much.

May He R.I.P.
