Hello everyone!

Just went out and purchased my first smoker yesterday.  The infamous ECB. I spent most of the day yesterday putting it together and modifying it.

Started it up today for the first time to season it and I will definitely need practice perfecting the art of temperature control. It spent 3 hours at 400 degrees before it settled down to 250 for an hour then I put it out for the night. Got it seasoned though and ready to try tomorrow. I think I have a good handle on how to get it at that low temp from the start now.

Practice. Practice. Practice.

Look forward to learning a lot from past posts and new ones.

I am in Delaware, about 15 minutes north of Columbus.

Welcome to SMF glad you joined us. Congrats on the new smoker. You'll find lots of good info and some great recipes here. Have fun and happy smoking
