wife wanted some grilled chicken...

Well the wife wanted some grilled chicken so of to town i went.. She likes skinless boneless chicken so picked up some breast from the butcher.. Made up some of my injecting marinade and chicken rub and  the grilling started..

 

 

Injecting marinade..

 

1 can of chicken  stock.

1 TBS of onion powder.

1 TBS of garlic powder.

 

Chicken rub

 

2 TBS of the following

onion powder

garlic powder

black pepper

sea salt

paprika

 

 

 

chicken injected and mairanating for about 3 hours..

Out of the cooler patted dry and getting a good rub down .

the chicken turned out great and the wife was real happy..

Hey Train...Try adding 1/2 tsp Poultry Seasoning, BELL'S if you can find it, to the Marinade. And 1 tsp to your Rub...It will make that Bird taste like, Thanksgiving at Grandma's House!...JJ

Whisk in an egg too and some white or cider vinegar, then you've got Cornell's famous chicken marinade from the 1950's invented by Bob Baker, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY - google it and check it out - made famous because he wanted to invent a unique recipe for his new breed of 'broiler' chickens (vs. fryer or stewer) he developed.  It was quickly adopted by every Fireman's Field Days in the area and still served today throughout New York State.

I make this all the time for myself.. being from upstate ny that marinade is famous.. Only down fall is my wife hates vinegar.. lol
