I guess a forecast high of "only" 93 degrees qualifies as a break from the heat we've been experiencing here in Georgia, so I decided to fire up the smoker. I'm doing a butt that's a little over 6lbs with a slight modification of Jeff's rub, and smoking with apple, cherry, and a little bit of hickory. It's been on for a little over 4 hours and the IT is right at 150* with the smoker temp settling nicely around 225-230*. The Mrs. and the Mini are visiting family all day, so I get to sit around drinking beer, watching NFL pre-season on the NFL Network, and flipping over to watch the Braves here in about an hour or so. Gonna be a great day! I'll post more Qview as the day progresses.
