This week -end I tried STUBBS spicy BBQ sauce , and I usually don't like ANY store bought BBQ sauce's ....BUT I loved it !      I would like to know if anyone knows what is in it ? and if it can be home made .

it was spicy , with a sweet tang and a nice little kick , really enjoyed it

The ingredients aren't on the label?

Someone here posted a site with all the restaurant recipes on it, a while back. Sorry I don't remember what it was.

Have you tried to Google it?

Sometimes these recipes are floating around on the net.

Yeah I know they won't give up their recipe for it , and yeah  the ingredients are listed BUT amounts and minus the "Natural" Flavors , and some other questionable stuff store bought sauce's have.

Just a thought , guess I just keep buying it till I can try to make my own.icon_rolleyes.gif

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

The only BBQ Sauce recipes on that list are Bulls Eye, KC Masterpiece and Arby's.

If you like a sweet tangy sauce try this super easy cheat:

2 Cups Sweet Baby Ray's Original

1 Cup cider vinegar

1 Cup apple juice (or beer)

A good squirt of yellow mustard

.... and brown sugar (or mollasas) to taste

....bring that up to low simmer in a pot and then turn the heat down and let it reduce and thicken up a bit. It is tangy, sweet, and delicious on pork and chicken. Plus it's really easy to make. biggrin.gif
