Hey guys,

So I have been doing a lot of smoking lately and being bad with not taking enough pictures so mostly I have been lurking reading and such in the background.  So to kind of poke myself out of that I wanted to show pictures of the newest smoker I have added to my collection.

I bought it from a friend, and he bought it from a guy that had used this for years for his catering business (something I am looking into doing with it as well).  It is a custom made smoker that from what I am told cost the guy $5000 just to get the smoker itself built and then he bought the trailer separate.

It needs to be sandblasted and repainted with heat resistant paint.  Also needs the deck replaced in the next couple of years as it is starting to show some age.  Also a lot of the pieces need to get a good healthy spray down with WD40 to help loosen them up.

Trailer 17' Long smoker is 12' long can fit 80-100 Boston Butts in there.  Sunday I am going to be doing a big catering for the wife's office (they work nights) so I am going to test it out.

I need to get more temp gauges mounted.  I want to put one in the right door and I think the left one might be off a little bit.  I was trying to think of locations for some other ones with possible putting two in each door.

Comments, suggestions?

I bought it from my buddy for $1500 with the stipulation that he can use it for one event a year.

Nice rig! If I where you I wouldn't do anything to that thing, but maybe stain the deck. I like my que's to look all old and crappy so when the food comes off people are amazed. $1500 is a steal.

Nice score there Nicky. I'm going to be in Fort Walton Beach from 8/7 - 8/12. I'd love to come see it.
Give a holler when you are heading that way!!

We are close to there.. and Raptor too

I am flying in Sunday night 8/7. Flying out Friday night. Staying at the LaQuinta all week. Got a big project at Fort Walton Machine. I'll have a rent a car so I can do what I want. Our sales rep I'm hanging with is a big smoke fan too. Just looked at the map. You guys are right there. I like to go to McGuire's in Destin to eat. They have good beer and great corned beef.

Sounds like a plan.  I will be around a couple of those days I think.  I have been working in Biloxi during the week since April but my mother is supposed to be in town so I will be taking some time off to spend with her that week.

Thanks for all the comments.  I do want to paint it up and I am considering modding the trailer to give it a roof.  Make it a little less hot working underneath it.

For those of you in the nearby FWB area I am looking for a good supplier for some wood.  Know a good place I can call and either pick it up or even better get it delivered?  I have called a couple numbers from Craigslist and they don't seem all that interested in actually delivering to me.
