K so I've never bought or seen a pork shoulder before, but from pictures I've seen it seems like it should be more round?
So am I doing a Boston Butt this weekend and having pulled pork or something else? =D
Yep. I have seen them cut like that before. Also that one looks well trimmed from that view. OK for pulling. They probably took off too much fat to make good sausage.

It says blade roast on the label. It's the top portion of a whole shoulder. You'll be fine.
