Hello everyone!!   Glad to be here.  I'm originally from Valleyforge, PA area moved to Eastern NC when I was 22 (I'm 31 now)  You guys are very helpful.  I've learned so much.  Been lurking and drooling a lot at the Qvue's and Bearview's.    Anyway I am a n00b and willing to learn.   I have a Brinkman Vertical Electric Smoker and a Meco charcoal.   I hope to get some Qvue's Up here myself.  Thanks for reading.

You do realize you are in the BBQ capitol of the world according to some folks. Can't wait to see some Eastern NC Q-View.
Yeah some folks do say that.  They use a lot of vinegar in the BBQ sauces around here, I'm still trying to let it grow on me.    Thanks for the welcome

Josh,

First of all, welcome aboard. You're now a part of one of the best Q Forums on the internet. Also, I would echo what's been said above ..... you are in the middle of some of the finest BBQ country in the world. I grew up in that area and still long for the times I can get back to get some of that vinegar based Q. I always stock up on it and bring it home to the freezer. I've been smoking for quite a while now (over 30 years). I've turned out some really good BBQ but I still have not succeeded in duplicating the eastern NC Q. I know it's a matter of taste and what you get used to but I processed through in eastern NC and I love that Q. If you run across any really good recipes, please don't hesitate to forward them. But enough rambling. Welcome aboard!! Hope to hear from you often and see lots of Qview.
