Needed to use up some leftover meat(s) from the 4th of July, had approx 3/4-1 lb. of shreded brisket, and 1/3-1/4 lb. of pulled pork. So I had my wife make me up a couple of pie crusts (I suck at the baking stuff....lol), and threw together a big pot pie.

Lower crust and filling in the casserol pan.

Top crust on, crimped, and trimmed.

In to a 400° oven for 40 minutes.

Yes!!! I love meat pies, ya did good Johnny.

I found some smoked brisket in the freezer, coupled with it's winter here, brrrrr, ...I see a beef pie in the near future.

Thanks for the idea, we've only make them with chicken.

Dave - I just did a google search for chicken pot pie and grabbed a recipe that looked fairly simple. In hindsight being that I had mostly beef I probably could have just made a thick beef gravy and used that... lol.
