Mag409, Morning. ...Great build.....I love it........Now we need pictures of it fired up and a report on the evenness of the heat.........and of course Q-Views......

Now for the big question.......What kind of a tank did you find that had rivets............an oldie but a goodie....I would guess......

Second question.........how are you going to concentrate on work while the Q is cooking......

Dave

I go the tank from a buddy.  We believe it was a 1940's/50's air tank.  All the seems were brazed.  It's been tough working while the smoker is going, but I'm managing, lol.

You have built the PERFECT smoker !!!! Congratulations !!
Thanks roller, I don't know about perfect, but it seems to be working good for me.

Looks awesome! What kinda temp differences do you see from the left to the right? Anything substantial?
I'm seeing anywhere from 5-15 degrees ddifference, depending on what stage the fire is at.  Once the fire is stabilized it seems to maintain 5 degrees from end to end.  If you add new coals to it the firebox side tends to jump until it stabilizes again.  So far it seems to be controllable.

Thanks.

Do you have any pics of your stand on your smoker. My build is 54inchs long and very heavy with the firebox 18x24. What gauge is the 2x2 please help im kinda stuck right know . thanks

Nice... sweeet.... great..... what can I say?

Looks like this build is going pretty fast.

Waiting to see what you come up with the flaming pig. I like tools too but a computer controlled plasma table is the ultimate toy!

You didn't post where you're from. If your near, I could give you some work for your plasma cutter. A lot easier and cleaner than an oxy-acetylene torch.

And looking forward to the Que view.
