Will be doing a 50 lb half pig for the fourth of July for a friend up the street.... His dad is coming up from Alabama for the second time in 20 yrs and also his son just graduated high school..... also on the menu will be fried catfish, some smoked chickens, and sides......   Qveiw and bear-view is a commin...........The only bad thing is it is supposed to 99 degrees for the 4Th.......

Well all went well................ A good friend of mine asked me to do a pig pickin for his sons graduation and his parents were comeing to visit for the second time in 20 yrs...........The weather co-operated but it got hot and I was one tired pig at the end of the day....... Had a great time even though I didnt get to spend time mingeling.......... Love to see happy people with their bellies full....

Injected the pig with georges bbq sauce..... a vinigar based sauce

Started at 7am and Smoked at 250 degrees for 8hrs...After 5 hrs bunped it to 275.... Pulled it at 180 degrees... wanted to get it to 210 but didnt make it there.... people were getting hungry... pulled ok..... chicken quarters made the grill........ had another grill going with some more leg quarters with some jalapeno cheddar kielbasa I made last week

Mrs boykjo in the middle..... she did the beans... not smoked but she can doctor them and they are awesome.... She does use a liquid smoke in it..................

Fried some haddock and heated up some jalapeno cheddar kielbasa.... didnt get a pic of the kielbasa but it was a hit............. this is whats left of the fish
