I cured some chicken legs with cure #1, kosher salt and CBP.

7 days later I smoked them with hickory for 4 hrs.

Then tossed in flour and deep fried

After 4 hrs, placed in Z-Loc bag and refrigerated over night.

Cured, smoked and deep fried -- that's a triple threat!  WOW.....looks great.  How did it taste?
  Thanks John,

I've tried this before but wasn't pleased with the results.

This time I added ½ cup kosher salt and it came out great.

It doesn't taste like chicken, more like a deep fried turkey ham kinda, sorta flavor

Interesting idea.  It reminds me of Pops' treatment of ribs.  He called them "Bacon on a stick".

How as the chix bacon on a stick?

Good luck and good smoking.

Thanks everyone

  Yes I did AL,

I only grew a couple plants this year
