Did my first smoked turkey today, came out great. No Brine, just did an injection of Butter, brown sugar, onion power, garlic power, etc. Did a little rub with an off the shelf rub and brown sugar. Sprayed with apple juice and whiskey during the smoke.

Chicken done the same way and both turned out very juicy and tender. Foiled both for about 1 ½ hour.

Now that's what smoked turkey is supposed to look like. This would be a great shot for the carousel!

Thanks, really pleased with the way it came out. Smoked it at 240-250 for about 5 hours? It seems to very tender, the meat just fell off the bones and is very juicy.

Been doing allot of smoking, just have not taken time to shoot pics and post them up.

Whoooo Hooooo!!!

That is a fine looking bird!!!
