I read where SmokinAL covered chicken in mayo, so I thought I would try that. Well, the results are fabulous..........take a look... and Thanks for lookin' and Thanks AL

Looks great!  Mayo is a food group all to itself, just like bacon!

  What was the process?  Just slather on the mayo?  Did you kick it up a notch with something else in the mix?  SmokingAl is one of the best around here, so I pay attention when I see his posts, but I must've missed that one!

Great looking chicken, nice color, I bet it tasted good!

I needed to cook 4 chickens for a wake Saturday in my WSM, this thread caught my eye so I tried your mayonaise rub, I mixed some of Beer-B-Q's rub in the mayo and placed it under the skin and on the skin, the color was excellent and smelled wonderful, but I don't know how it tasted because I gave them away, ...tomorrow I'll go buy a couple of chickens and try it for myself.

Really great looking chicken!  I use seasoned/herbed up mayo on salmon and halibut fillets quite often. Gonna have to try it on some birds!
