Hey everybody,

I am very excited to have found this website.  I first logged on a few days ago and have been reading the threads in the build section and I am very impressed with the amount of knowledge.

Here is what I see in the end.  I want to use something big like a 500 gallon propane tank but I want a larger diameter.  Any suggestions?  I am going to put it on a trailer, want to make it a RF smoker with a 3 to 4 shelf rotisserie.  If anyone has suggestions as to how I can make this and the easiest way please post back.  Cost is always an issue but I am going to do it right no matter how long it takes.  I am going to use this as a competition smoker.

Thanks in advance for the help,

Brian

First off you should go over to Roll Call and introduce yourself so you can get that world famous SMF welcome. Then use the search bar at the top of the page to search trailer, 500 gallon or whatever. There are a ton of threads that should help you get the info you need plus a lot of great folks willing to help.

Welcome to the forum.  You will like this site very much and the team is great with helping.  I never built a 500 Gal, but a few 250 gal and down.  If you are building the trailer too, please make sure you have the welding skills for that type project (don't want to say you don't, just safety first).

I would recommend taking the time up front to lay out on paper what you intend to do and let the team here look at it first.  You will find that there are already people that went through the growing pains building and will give you lots of great advice.

Please make sure you post lots of pictures as you are building it.

Again welcome and good luck!
