Tried updating my previous post and could not so started a new one.

Finally got it finished and got a couple of Ques under my belt with it. I cooked last weekend for 120 people

and got rave reviews for 2 days after the cook. After the first cook I added LP Gas injection for starting the fire

and it works great. I love the rottisserie, no hot spots, just bring it up to temp, load the meat, and monitor the

temp until it's done.

This build is a 6' Rottisserie with a top mount warming box, and a rear mount firebox. It has 4 air intake

dampers on the firebox and 4 dampers between the firebox and cooking chamber. The rottisserie will turn

at 1 rpm. Pull one lever and the firebox will dump ashes out the bottom.

HOLY $HIT!

How about a tour of the smoker?

Why this design?

You have a fab shop?

Inspirational!

I also would like to have a tour of the grill/firebox/rotisserie, looks amazing.

Ok, here are additional pictures I promised. If you want additional info private meesage me. Thanks again for the great comments and the interest in my project.

Inside of firebox showing grating elevated off the bottom to allow plenty of air flow, LP gas nozzle(there are two in the firebox), ash dump slide damper in the bottom for clean out.

Slide damper between firebox and cooking chamber. This really was a waste of time as I have found no need for it as of yet.

Slide air damper inside firebox.

Doors on firebox showing the latches I made. The rods are tapered on the ends so it pulls the door tight when latched.

Three handles on the end of the firebox, left one regulates air intake, bottom center without spring handle is the ash dump(I was short one spring handle but ordered another), one on right is the damper between the firebox and cooking

chamber.

Gearmotor available from Grainger Supply for approx. $200.00. It turns 6 rpm, then I purchased chain sprockets to reduce the rottisserie speed to 1 rpm.

The aluminum deck plate strips add some bright work plus they make up a second seal for the doors as they overlap the door frame. Same tapered latches on both the cooking chamber and the warming box to pull the doors tight.

The trick to the rottisserie is the spider that the shelves ride on, the six shelves are equally spaced on the spider to alleviate unnecessary strain on the gearmotor from out of balance weight(with a full load each shelf could have as much as 150 lbs on it). Shelves are stainless steel expanded metal and stainless steel angle.

Each shelf rotates on a 1/2" pin on each end. Take out two bolts(shown) on one end and remove the shelf. Remove all six shelves to change to the fixture to do whole hog smoking on the rottisserie.

The rottisserie center rod is 1" solid bar stock. The spiders have a piece of 1" pipe for the center that slides onto the center rod.

Easy to load or unload the cooking chamber through the large doors. When you get the mass of steel up to temp, the temp comes right back up when you close the doors. Switch for rottisserie motor mounted handily under the table.

Warming box mounted on top uses only radiant heat from the cooking chamber. No smoke enters the warming box.

Stacks are impressive, only 11' high. The stacks are this tall only because the smoker will eventually be on a trailer with a roof on it and the stacks will need to go thru the roof.

The aluminum bright work really sets off the High Temp flat black paint.

That thing is a dream.  I wish I could type how much I like it but this is a family friendly forum.  I wish I had half the ability you did.  I bet holding temp in that thing is a breeze and all that meat self basting as it goes around the smoker.

Nice rig.The taller you stacks are the more it changes your draw at the bottem.I love your rides are they cruiser or sleepers or show cars?
