Greenhouse Pics 5/21

I finally got the outdoor section planted. Things seem to be growing well so far. I also have Okra planted outside but it's not out of the ground yet. Here's some pics

Corn is coming up it's been planted less than a week now

Jalapenos on the left and Sweet Banana Peppers on the right

The Habenaros are still doing well

The Basil was getting crazy I picked a bunch of it the morning after this pic was taken

Asparagus Beans in the first couple towers and Cucumbers in the rest I have some chives in the small pots on top but they are up that much yet

Cucumbers are starting to flower with many more about to start

Bush Beans are flowering

Squash about to flower

Peppers are still doing good with lots of tiny peppers starting to grow and some about ready to pick

Lots of tomatoes of all sizes

I also installed some mister lines to help cool things down no that it's getting so hot outside

Piney, Morning.

Your system is beautiful.

I use drip emitters at 2gph pressure compensated. They are different than yours. Whose products do you use ? Are they pres/comp ? Do your misters use plain or nutrient water for foliage feeding ? The plant growth rate is astonishing, impressive. You most certainly have gardening to a science.

I finally started putting plants out in the garden 2 days ago. I am jealous.

The garlic harvest will start in about 3 weeks.

Keep the pics coming. The veggies are beautiful.

Dave the system just uses the emitter tubing with no ends and I adjust the flow with shutoff valves. The nutrients go into the 6" distribution pots at the top then flow down via gravity. The trick is to adjust the time the system runs so that it flows all the way to the ground pots but doesn't run out of them thus wasting expensive nutrients. Outside I have some small emitter sprinklers and some just emitter sticks that just hold the tubing in place and again I adjust the valves to control flow. The mister heads are using plain well water and are strictly for cooling in the pics you'll notice I ran a black 1/2" poly pipe for the misters and attached it to the white 1/2" poly pipe that supplies the nutrient solution. When it starts to get cool I'll run another set of misting lines on the bottom and use them for heating

How are you keeping your solution cool? I run a system in my basement in the winter but haven't tried it outside, in the summer, due to heat issues in the reservoir.

My tanks are wrapped with this and it helps but also remember my system uses injectors and mixes it with water coming from the well so the well water cools the nutrient solution

Oh, I missed the part about the injectors. That certainly would make a big difference. I mix mine in big batches (20-50 gallons at a time) and siphon from there.
