need to make some pulled pork so I thought I would give Jeff's Rub a maiden voyage in the GOSM.

two 7 pound Butts and about a four pound piece.

rubbed last evening and put in cooler over night

I took them out , added a little more rub this morning and into the smoker  over hickory and apple. I will give them a little apple juice spritz every so often after they have been in there for a few hours.

5 hrs in the big one is at 157* and the small one is at 170*

chugging along 245* give or take

almost 9 hrs in and the big one is at 177* small one is at 190

I havent stuck a probe in the third one but its about a pound smaller than the big one so I am guessing its around 180*

there will be no foil involved here while cooking. they will get foiled when they hit 210*  to rest for a bit before pulling.

the weather is hot and the beer is cold!

look at that Bark!!  I really had to maintain composure not to rip that open!

but it needs its rest first!

Jeff's rub is outstanding! I thought I had it over the top withn my own rub, but Jeff's put it way over.  here are the money shots guys! thantks for watching  and good night!!

I think Bear and Al both have hangovers - great looking smoke man. I bet that bark was amazing.

the bark was outstanding .

I spritzed with apple juice and rum while they smoked

after I pulled it I Mixed in a little  SoFlaQuer finishing sauce
