New smoker - Help needed with troubleshooting

what was the average temp out side when you fired your smoker ?? out side temperature will affect performance.

if you want to smoke in the winter you will need much more heat .

I would try a slider to let more air in or try some wood if you have the room
The outside temp was 60-70 degrees f would be my guess, I think i have lots of air flow now, I am considering moving the fire box under the cook chamber, should make it much more efficient. Get all the radiant heat from the fire box going up into the cook chamber,

Should have some time to take another crack at it this weekend, i had another idea to move the fire box in so there is more overlap under the cooking area for some more radiant heat to improve efficiency

Same theory as the idea in the above post but it will look better. hopefully the rf plate will defuse the heat so it cooks even.

Ended up cutting the firebox off and moving it in so it sits half under the cook chamber
