I thought I would share a tri tip that I smoked today. Smoked for an hour and a half at 225 in an MES. I also did some Baby Backs that are almost done. My rub is as follows:
1/2 cup Paprika
1/4 cup Black Pepper
1/4 cup Sugar
3 Tablespoons Salt
3 Tablespoons Chili Powder
2 Tablespoons Garlic Powder
2 Tablespoons Onion Powder
2 Tablespoons Cayenne
It CAME OUT INCREDIBLE!! It was the most juicy tri tip ever not to mention that great smoked flavor. I used mesquite for this. I think next time I will sear it on the Q on both side to give that char... Overall the aftermath was Awesome!
^^^ After I let it rest for 20 and slicing into it I robbed a couple of pieces before I snap a picture...sorry guys I couldn't resist.
