Easter Ham with Q-view

Thread Starter

Loaded up the Easter ham along with lamb meatballs, a couple of pork chops and some appetizers for the big meal yesterday.  I simply rubbed the ham with dark brown sugar and pinned some pineapple rings onto the ham with toothpicks.  Smoked at 225-250* until the ham hit 165* (around 5ish hours).  The meats were a hit with the whole family.

The lamb meatballs were discussed in an earlier post under "Lamb"....

Great ham. That bone is going to make some very good bean and ham soup. Oh man that's my favorite.

Not a chance, Bear!  My dad offered to help by releiveing me of the bone as well; I told him he was welcome back when the soup was done.  I've got designs on split pea "soup" starting tonight!

It all looks great job well done. Nothing like getting the family members together for a fine smoked meal...I have never eaten any of that bone stuff....but the split-pea soup sounds great !!!
