Didn't get a real good smoke ring, not sure why - but it had a real good smoke flavor.

Your bird looks delicious my friend.  Did you brine it? What wood did you use to smoke?

Chicken really smokes to quick to develope a good smook ring. As long as it is moist and taste good.....you did great.

No brine, just rubbed it with olive oil and then dry rub. I used some hickory chunks this time.

Yep, at the most you will see a slight hue. The smoke flavor comes through though.

 You really don't need to brine chicken. I never do. But alot do it. Just a personal thing I guess.

I wonder if the meat would get a ring with skin removed first??
