I love these Amish Hams! They are good right out of the package but even better

after I give them the Uncle Lar  treatment!

This one I am smoking today, then will cool it over night and slice it and reheat

for Easter Morning Brunch

I made a Honey Rum Glaze with 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup spiced rum , 1/2 cup Honey

and  1/2 tsp ground clove. I scored the top of the ham and glazed. then gave it a light sprinkle of My standard rub

and will smoke it over apple wood @ 225 for about 5 hours  no worry about internal temp as this

is a fully cooked ham. I am just imparting the glaze and smoked flavor to already good ham

I will also spritz with pineapple juice a few times during the smoke.

Ok Here it is after 5 hours in the smoker.

I actually ran the smoker at about 215* not 225* like I said in my initial post.

I glazed it twice while it was smoking and the last hour I added some pineapple.

now it will rest in the fridge and I will slice it and reheat it Sunday morning.

I will post some sliced pics tomorrow along with the taste results

out of the smoker and resting

Well, the easter brunch turned out wonderful!

thank you to my darling wife who helped put  together a wonderful spread of food

the Meat end: ham, sausage, bacon, then the  cheesy hash browns, french toast, then two different egg

casseroles . the fruit end has devilled eggs, picked eggs and beets, and 3 different melons, strawberrys and grapes. and dipping fluff.
