Total newbie.... grilled all my life now i am smoking....and i think i am having way to much fun. I work in the automotive industry so i am way too technical anyway...

Got off of work went to kroger got a little two pound shoulder roast to start and WOW it looks good, grandma helped with her secret "german" rub (I guess thats special lol) and pics to come....

Wow am I supposed to have this much fun???????

Yes, it should be this fun.  The best part for me (other than the good eats themselves) are the ooooh's, ahhhh's & mmmmmm's from your family and friends.  If its not fun, we call it work!

It wasn't quite pulled pork but a wonderful roast and super moist and tender.... best roast i ever had and was my first smoke. Looks like it can only get better from here on :)
