Somehow I think Nebraska is going to find a new way to come up with an "outrigger tax" if I do this. But as usual I'll probably do it anyway.welder.gif

Harbor Freight had the square weld on type sidewinder trailer jack on sale a while back. Its the one where you pull a pin and drop the foot, then crank it up to where you want it.

I really like these since you don't have to make it where it can flip up, plus its a strong enough jack that its easy to crank.

Most places sell um for between 79.00 and 100.00, but I believe they were on sale for 29.00 or 39.00. It seems like alot still but you would never wear it out.

Plus if you take it somewhere, it would be real easy to get leveled up.

Great Job on the mega cook. It all looked really awesome.

I think I'll look into that. It would come in handy when we take it to the lake for the weekend. First I have to replace the junk wiring harness that came with it. Got double shifts all week so I'm gonna try to do that this weekend.

It just so happens I was at Harbor Freight this afternoon, the jack I mentioned is 39.00.

They did have other styles for a little less. Still way better prices then the trailer supply stores.

I had the opportunity to visit during the smoke and have some food in the early afternoon and it was TO DIE FOR, it was that good!!!! Makes me want an offset smoker even more!

Yessir, we just had a Harbor Freight Store open up in my little burg, and I gotta tell ya, it's so much better than reading their catalog or going to their on-line site.  SWMBO has laid down the law and ruled that I can only go once a week.

A lot of their stuff is good enough, but be careful what you get cheap there.

One time I got a set of tin snips (left-right-straight), and all they do is fold the metal.

Also got a set of channel locks----Squeeze the handles & the teeth skip to all the way open.

I guess I kinda deserved it !

I got a lot of stuff that worked out good, portable air tank, air compressor oil, etc, etc....

Yep, the rule of you get what you pay for is very true with these type of stores.  If it's something that's going to be used maybe once or twice, HF is the place to go.  But if it was electrician hand tools, I only bought the very best because they generally were all that was between me and unwanted tingles or worse.

True, sometimes its hit or miss,

Its nice for the person who has a boatload of quality tools already and needs some "get me by" tools for the boat, RV vacation home, trunk of the car...you get the picture.

I did pretty well getting supplies from HF when building "Frank"
