MAK Smoked Chili

Wanted some chili and corn bread today so the MAK got uncovered.

Got my meat ready. 2 lbs GB and 1 lb pork, 5 slices home smoked bacon.

MAK pre heated to 350* so on goes the bacon first.

Transfer to the dutch oven, Added petite dices maters, mater sauce, water, beans. Combined well and added 2 Tbs masa flour to thiken.

Shredded some MAK cold smoked farmers cheese.

Mixed up some sweet corn bread mix and added some crispy bacon.

Growing up in a spanish household my mom always had lemon juice, she said it makes the tomato wake up.

Plate my chili. Topped with lemon juice, cheese, corn bread and more cheese and hot sauce.

I sure could go for a bowl of that chili right now. looks great. I was wondering when you were going to make something else. I'm sure your smokers dont cool down to ambient temperature very often.

Chili sounds great Nepas, it has been in the 30s here the last couple days...
 
Great looking chili Nepas. That is my favorite cold weather meal, course it 88 down here today.
 
Beer B Que hit it on the mark, chili weather is here again and that looks like some good chili!! Maybe tomorrow I'll fire up the smoker and give it a try myself.
