Hey Redneck, I forgot to mention:

If he doesn't have any bad habits, he might not want to hang out with people who do.

Since he's not carrying the weapon, he should be able to lay up & have a beer and a Pork BBQ. Then go out and find a few birds for you, without needing a designated birddog to fill in for him.
