Pictures of my first electric smoker

Thread Starter

This was my first electric fridge smoker.  It was being throwen out and I seen it at the side of road.  I totally stripped it of any fridge parts such as wiring and cooling lines and compressor. I used sheet metal and rebuilt the edges and inside.  I also added a small door down by the temp controls so I can slide in my baking pan of wood chips so I don't lose any heat.  I got my temperature guages at The stack I got for 4 dollars at a local heating supply store.  I use 220V supply you can contol the heat no problem and get higher temps if needed.  I have done everything from bacon, fish, sausage, jerky and ribs with no problem.  The only problem I have is all the neighbours showing up when I am smoking and they want you to do smoking for them, thinking it takes 5 minutes of work!  This works great very happy with the outcome.
