Xmas Smoked Ham advice needed

Hi all-

I'm pretty new to this forum and am very glad I found it.  I want to smoke a ham for the holiday that i can carve.  Not a butt for pulling.  Any threads I should read or any advice is very welcome.

Buy a smoked Ham and smoke it again.

 

Someone will bring a thread, or try a search "Double Smoked Ham".

 

I have not eaten a "Single Smoked Ham" in at least 15 years (at home).

I made a ham from this recipe http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/wiki/whiskey-glazed-smoked-ham-by-the-bbq-pit-boys and it turned out great. You can see my post for  the pix.

Now bear has a good idea but I would buy a fresh ham and smoke it. It's really pretty easy and smoke it like a butt but just pull it at maybe 195° or so and let it rest for an hour and then just slice it. I did a couple this year for some parties at the house.
