Can anyone tell me if they have ever smoked a whole turkey in a Big Green Egg and if so what are your suggestions ?
Yes I have and I just smoke it like I would smoke one in any of my smokers. Brine the bird and smoke at around 250-275 and bring it up to an internal temp of 165 then pull and wrap in foil to rest. I would also put some type of drip pan below the bird on your place setter so you can catch the drippings. The main thing is getting a bird that will fit in your smoker. If you have a small or medium egg you may have issues with a bigger bird but if you have a large egg you are going to be able to get a big bird on there no problem.
