What's everyone using to smoke their turkeys with?  I see a lot of cherry being used in other posts.  I'm using apple.  What about you?

I'll be using straight apple wood

Straight apple is good with me too. I use it most of all in fact I just bought  a 35lb box of apple chips.

I'll be using a mix of hickory chunks and apple chips.  Hoping my lead on pecan and some cherry works out but it won't be in time for tomorrow.  Used the hickory a couple weeks ago and the flavoring was good.

Apple (maybe with some hickory) but probably just straight apple.

If I brine the bird (Jeff's brine) do I need to season with a rub?  Wife always thinks I over season things.
