I had a buddy over Sunday to watch the Eagles & Colts game... I am an Eagles fan (but Payton is probably my favorite QB in the NFL so this was just an all around exciting game for me)... Needless to say the Birds were victorious!!!!!! and the food was great! so this is what we did...
While my buddy marinated the chicken i mixed the beef and formed the patties (with the nice aroma of Bacon frying in the background)...
We were using Pepper Jack Cheese...
Bacon was done and given some time to cool while the chicken was thrown on the grill (didnt get a shot of the chicken before it hit the grill)...
Time to meld these monsters together... they were huge... my buddy never had stuffed burgers before and he commented saying "Those are meatloaves not burgers!!!!" LOL...
I saved about half the bacon grease to saute some Sweet Red Peppers, Onions, & Garlic for toppings later...
My buddy was outside handling the chicken...
Burgers on, flipped, than topped w/ more bacon, & more Pepper Jack...
A few more people stopped over for the game... everyone loved the food... Sorry i didnt get any sandwich shots, but we put them on fresh baked kaiser rolls, topped them with the Pepper, onion, garlic mixtures & some Sweet Baby Rays and i also had some home pickled Hot Cherry Peppers to accompany the sandwiches... we quickly made them in mid game so i was a bit preoccupied... Thanks for looking!
