Thread Starter

My wife & I just retired in Bellingham, WA. & I want to spend my time fishing & eating. I am real interested in learning to smoke all kinds of food, so I am hoping to tap into the wealth of knowledge on this forum. I don't currently have a smoker so I a doing some research on what would be best for me.

Welcome to SMF!!!

It really all depends on how much time you want to spend tending the smoker and how much meat you are wanting to do at one time.

If you enjoy tending the fire ,get youself a  SFB charcoal burner.

If you want ease of smoking and don't care about the smoke ring , check out the MES.

Or you have the gassers .

If you are able to use tools and have a little time the UDS may be the way for you to go.

Like you said ,RESEARCH is your friend.

Welcome and congratulations! You've come to the right place. As far as smokers go, there are a lot of options. I like to play with fire.
