100% Positive Reviews

Pros: Nice fit, I have large hands and short fingers and they allow your fingers to move freely. Easy to clean, just wash your hands with the gloves on.

Cons: Do not try to pick up anything hotter than 250 to 300 degrees and really do not try to pick up metal. They will melt and tear and burn you

I bought these after seeing reviews on Amazon that said they were very heat resistant.  The first time I grabbed the cast iron skillet to pull it out to put in more coals and wood chips, the tips of the gloves melted some and the heat was definitely felt through the gloves.  I had to pull the skillet out and put it on the cold ground because I could not hold it for more than about 30 seconds without risking getting burned.  I also found this to be true when I pulled the hot rack that I had the meat on out of the smoker to take inside after smoking was finished.

I looked at the gloves after I grabbed the cast iron skillet the first time and you could see where the rubber was dull from melting some and there was a cut or tear in the glove where the melted part and the unmelted part meet.  Looks like it tore in a straight line where they meet.  The gloves were in perfect condition when I got them so I know it was caused by the heat.

I do agree with others that they are good for grabbing meat under 300 degrees, but if you try to grab a skillet or pan out of the smoker or oven at 300 or higher, you will feel it and will need to be quick about moving it or risk getting burned.

I am not sending the gloves back since it was my dumb fault for not spending more time reading about the gloves before I assumed they would work for metal and cast iron.  Besides, the area melted and the tear are not all the way through the outer rubber yet.

I am still trying to find some gloves that I can use for the iron skillet and for adding coals to the already hot area at the bottom but so far, I have only found gloves over 100 dollars that can do this effectively and can be easily washed.  Some of the Kevlar gloves look good but you cannot just wash your gloves with our hands in them like you would normally wash and dry your hands to get these gloves clean.

Pros: better than tongs or forks for large cuts of meat & making pulled pork

Cons: kind of hard to get off once greasy

These are insulated hot food safe gloves if you cook large cuts of meat like briskets you'll love these!

The only down side with larger hands is the gloves are hard to get off when greasey

Pros: Shield Heat well, Easy Cleaning

Cons: No Grip

Pulled 2 tri-tips off the grill while wearing these gloves, could barely feel the heat. Gloves were really slippery when moving the tri-tips and cutting them.. Overall good glove just lacks ridges for grip.
